Tell us about your best and worst days at work

Mrs. Saggi: For me, everyday at Babychakra is a new, exciting challenge due to the steep learning curve we face as a team. We are enroute to being the platform we envisioned ourselves to be - a part of every family.

The ‘worst’ days at work are unequivocally linked to times where we are not able to help a family with their challenges. When we hear and read about the naked truth - miscarriages, premature babies or abusive families, it affects us greatly and reinforces our mission.

What do you do when you’re not at work?

Mrs. Saggi: I love learning from people hence, I spend time in catching up with friends & family or folks in the startup ecosystem. The other way I recharge is to read.

What is unique about your business?

Mrs. Saggi: With 27.4 million births every year and 70%+ nuclear families, India is the world’s largest birth cohort. We are catering to the exponentially increasing digital presence of women by building the most trusted platform for every young family. Our large community of trusted users and stakeholders are being offered a hyper-personalized experience with relevant interventions to guide every parent to become the best they can be.

If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?

Mrs. Saggi: Be mentally and physically prepared. Starting up is never going to be easy and you need to get ready for the roller coaster that is a start-up. Learn to enjoy your smaller victories every day, and run on the road directed to your mission.

How do you define success?

Mrs. Saggi: Seeing what we are building being used and loved by hundreds of millions of people over the world. Success is building something that lasts.

What is your favourite aspect of being an entrepreneur?

Mrs. Saggi: Being part of an amazing team and building something truly meaningful and impactful for millions of people.

What is your favorite book?

Mrs. Saggi: My favorite book is “The Hard thing About Hard Things” by Ben Horowitz. Also love the book “Shoe Dog” by Phil Knight.

If you had the chance to start your career over again, what would you do differently?

Mrs. Saggi: I would have started off much earlier.

Where do you see yourself and your business in the next 5-10 years?

Mrs. Saggi: I would love to see BabyChakra as the go to, trusted platform for families and women all over the world. From 8 million families touched last year, we are now on track to close at 20 million families in India. In the next 5 years, we see ourselves being synonymous to pregnancy and parenting, translating to touching 20 million families daily across India and other parts of the world that need us most.

Share a story/experience about the impact on a parent / child on Babychakra platform that brought a smile on your face.

Mrs. Saggi: With countless testimonials and reviews that moms share with us daily, the ones that give us the real happiness are the ones which talk about how BabyChakra has changed their behaviors and has become the decision maker for most part of the their life. Sonam Patel, one of our moms who shared a post saying BabyChakra has made her an expert in parenting : not just for her own journey, but for her peers too. Be it her friend / sister-in-law, Sonam feels empowered and confident because of BabyChakra. Sonam also shares that she is now looked upon by her relatives and husband as an expert and she has BabyChakra to thank for this. #That'sBabyChakraEffect. Stories like these bring a smile on our face everyday!
